Technical opportunity at Langham Court Theatre
The second play in Langham Court Theatre’s season this year is Scotland Road by Jeffery Hatcher. This is a psychological thriller based on a Titanic obsession. Our production team have decided to venture into deeper technical waters than we normally do at the theatre. We are building an iceberg that morphs into various forms and our play is very much focused on the fantasies and obsessions of our principal character. We do have the full technical support of the theatre and a theatre tech crew. However, we also wish to create a dynamic sound scape and utilize projections both on and within the iceberg. Consequently, we need a couple of people with an expertise beyond ours. We start rehearsals for the play at the end of September and the play goes up on November 15. This is an opportunity to become involved in a project that will be a successful adjunct to the Titanic exhibit which has been running all summer. If you’d like further information on either the sound or the video needs please contact the director – Roger Carr rcarr@shaw.ca or phone 652-4174.
