Medianet seeks articles on media arts, film and video, and film reviews for our new on-line magazine, launching in 2008. Members with selected writings will receive volbucks, and new members may use this towards their required volunteer hours. There is no deadline for submissions. WORKSHOPS and NOTICES
Workshop with Don White
MediaNet and ViFPA are pleased to announce that the legendary Don White is coming from Vancouver February 9th & 10th (last weekend of the Victoria Film Festival), to offer two workshops in developing documentary structure
The Saturday evening workshop “Developing Basic Documentary Structure” http://www.documentarystorystructure.com/Upcoming%20Seminars.html is open to all MediaNet members (admission $10). It is appropriate for all members interested in creating documentaries.
The Sunday day long intensive workshop has very limited enrolment. Interested members must email a one page outline by December 21st and attend the Saturday evening session. People who have participated in Don’s intensives say the process can be painful – but is truly helpful.
