TONIGHT: MediaNet artist talk
Thursday, November 29, 7pm at MediaNet

Join filmmaker Kyath Battie for a screening and discussion of her work.

Kyath graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and has gone on to direct several short experimental, animated and feature documentaries that have screened across Canada and the United States. Her work includes “Fest” a documentary about the “Woodstock for rednecks” music festival in Merritt, BC which she produced with help from the NFB. Most recently, she completed the humorous “Domestic Blitz” a short video about the perils of aging and housework, and the Bravo!Fact animated short “Blue Beard”, a short animated dark fantasy film. Kyath’s work focusses on exploring ‘place’ and existensialism and she is currently working on a still photography series about fallen/mutated/altered trees of Victoria.
