MediaNet invites its members to attend the Annual General Meeting, Saturday December 8th, 2pm-5pm in Studio 3 (across the hall from the MediaNet office).
At the AGM the Board will present the Annual Report and Financial Statement for 2006-2007. Also, members of MediaNet in good standing may nominate and elect or appoint new directors to the Board and vote on motions.
Christmas party to follow 5:00-7:00! Party is potluck- but if you can’t bring anything, come anyway- there will be plenty of food.

MEDIANET SUBMISSIONS

Medianet seeks articles on media arts, film and video, and film reviews for our website. Members with selected writings will receive volbucks, and new members may use this towards their required volunteer hours. There is no deadline for submissions. Share your thoughts, ideas and knowledge.

-The Documentary Interest Group will hibernate over Christmas. Watch for a new schedule of docs and events in January.

-The Sony PD100 is out of commission until further notice. Please bear with us as we will be a camera short for the near term.

-Coming this spring – an exciting schedule of workshops including favourites like the GarageBand workshop, new workshops like “8 and 16mm film for Video Artists’ with MediaNet’s own E.D. Peter Sandmark, more introductory equipment and FCP workshops and some exciting special workshops we are lining up.
