Mighty Jerome, 2010, 83 min

From acclaimed filmmaker Charles Officer (Nurse.Fighter.Boy) comes Mighty Jerome, the story of the rise, fall and redemption of Harry Jerome, Canada’s most record-setting track and field star. More than just a running machine, Harry, had tonegotiate racism at home (Vancouver) and abroad, and struggled with media criticism throughout his amazing career. Gorgeous monochrome imagery, impassioned interviews and astonishing archival footage are used to tell the compelling story of what Harry Jerome’s university coach, the legendary Bill Bowerman, called “the greatest comeback in track and field history.” This film is a standout! Pg

Movies are shown on a 12′ screen in the Eric Martin Pavilion in the 1900 block of Fort St. Admission by donation! Pop & popcorn at ridiculously low prices
